Some of our school horses and ponies are available for 1/4 or 1/2 leases on a monthly basis.
A lease entitles the student to a predetermined amount of free days of riding as well as use of the lease horse or pony for their lesson. Lesson costs are not included in the lease. All lesson horse and pony leases are under the direct control of Cheryl Connell-Marsh. All leases must be signed prior to initiation of the lease. Students leasing a horse will be expected to obey all Nottingham rules.
Private horses being boarded at Nottingham may also be available for lease. All lease arrangements must go through the horse’s owner and must be approved by Cheryl.
Any lease of a school horse or pony from NEC includes the veterinary and farrier costs of the leased equine, as well.
Lease conditions and costs of other horses on the premises must be determined by the leasing party.
All services begun in the middle of a month will be pro-rated. Checks are accepted, payable to Nottingham or NEC. If paying by cash, please be sure to place it in an envelope with your name, date, and what the amount is for on the outside. At this time, we do not accept credit cards. Various work performed around the barn can offset the cost of lessons, leasing, and board. Jobs that you may inquire about are morning and afternoon feedings and becoming a working student.
